A Word From our Founder
Hello and welcome to our About US Page! My name is Ryan Slayton and I am the founder of Tech-Connext LLC, a company that creates sustainable, open-ended toys that encourage creativity and outdoor play. As a first-time father of a three-year-old, I understand the importance of providing children with toys that are not only fun, but also eco-friendly and promote positive values.
Before launching Tech-Connext I spent countless hours researching what would make a good toy for our business. I wanted to create toys that were sustainable, open-ended, encouraged outdoor play, and were locally made. These values became the foundation of our mission and continue to guide everything we do.
Some Details
Sustainable
Sustainable toys are an important
part of our initiatives. Most of the toys on our website are made
from Pla Plastic a biodegradable plastic made from renewable
resources such as corn starch, sugarcane, or cassava. We also
manufacture our toys in a nonpolluting way that does not release carbon, greenhouse gases, or chemical toxins into the
environment. By choosing sustainable toys, we are not only
helping to protect our planet, but also ensuring that our children have safe and healthy toys to play with.
Open-ended
Open-ended toys are another important part of our mission. We believe that children should be able to play with toys in different ways and create their own unique
experiences. Our toys have few instructions and no specified "winning outcome", which encourages children to use their imaginations and explore their
creativity.
Made Locally
Finally, we are proud to say that our toys are made locally. We work with local artisans to create our toys, which not only helps to keep traditional crafts alive, but also ensures that each handmade toy is a unique keepsake to treasure across generations.
